The other day a surfer who frequents this blog I asked if it was worth see the remake of Night of the Living Dead directed in 1990 by Tom Savini. In general, both zombie movies as conventional cinema'm not much given to remakes, it is usually the hate and always think it is best to avoid them and keep the original version but I think that Tom Savini did The Night of the Living Dead an exception that proves the rule. Tom Savini's film does not exceed the original because I think any remake should and must do, indeed, I doubt that Savini wanted to outdo the original, but rather what he wanted in 1990 was to make a tribute to director, George Romero, which made him jump to fame giving a deserved opportunity Dawn of the Dead (1978). Tom Savini, even shot to fame in 1978 as a special effects specialist, did not want to remake it safely through the little difference in years between the release of 1978, and its possible remake, 1990, so I chose to honor the first of the series with a remake, in my point of view, great and exceptional all zombies addict and lover of cinema in general should see.
