"Traveling through Eastern Europe with his school wrestling team, Alex attends a night of decadence at a party that causes her and her friends lost the train to Odessa, where they will compete in a few days. His coach is angry, but a mysterious woman offers a trip on a train alternative. Coach agrees, and athletes, exhausted and hungover, they get started. However, the train keeps a terrible secret, and for Alex and his traveling companions, a blood-filled nightmare is just beginning ... "
With Hostel of Eli Roth in 2006, opened a new subgenus in the box as mentioned in the 'porno-torture: the psycho-social. Already Hostel and its sequel saw wealthy people pay to torture and killing people, in Tourists , the same year, a group of guys saw them during a vacation in Brazil with a team that specializes in the removal of organs and give to the needy. Clearly, Train could be Hostel Tourists for a train.
Something that can not be criticized at all Train is his stark vision of what the gore, from the opening scene, know what to expect with a brutal and violent dissection of a body, with spooky background music, courtesy of Michael Wandmacher fabulous. Regarding blood
, meets and how! There is something for all tastes and sizes, and in this respect is difficult for a horror hound out disappointed.
Unfortunately, the plot pergreñó writer / director Gideon Raff, initially as a remake of Terror Train , flight does not have enough to feel fairly original film and even takes concepts from its predecessors, even the pickup to the potential female victims. This, added to which there is a lacking interest in developing the personalities of their characters (at any time the viewer honestly cares whether they live or die) Funny, because at one point, while the characters play 'Truth / Consequences' (or whatever you like,' Truth or Dare ") is an air of complicity between them, but that's in that scene. If the writer could create such a scene, I can not imagine why not many of the same type throughout the film.

The cast does not help much to this sense of destabilization. Thora Birch is the actor on / off of the project: it radiates charisma and beauty, but now is a reaction that is loaded (when she finds her boyfriend battered, zero emotion) and others, you want to run their destructive path. Its true strength reaches the end of the film but, alas, for the moment that grabs the hammer Thora reached the end, a little longer than expected, the desire of the viewer watching the show were left behind, with the victims. Gideon Emery is the more lackluster, because her character has no meaning and above the background was anything but gay plea (as the scene of the shirt is fantastic;) Other, leave something to be desired, even cardboard villains
If something needs of the director of Raff curious is that, throughout the time the action takes place inside the train (which is 90% of the film), the camera moves and rattles as if a busy train travel is involved. It is a detail that flashy, but can reach your nerves to stop halfway. I have to remember again that the soundtrack created by Michael Wandmacher (worked on Piranha 3D and My Bloody Valentine 3D ) is brutal and beautiful at the same time - the main theme, a haunting violin song (reverse genius!) is explosively bleak.

If Train been better constructed around a dash something solid for this type of proposal would have worked like its predecessors, but sadly it is in the attempt, and being a movie to watch when you're bored.
